Castles, Coastlines & Chaos: Our 3-Country Motorhome Adventure from Andalucía to the UK

🚐 From Andalucía to the UK: Our family’s road trip wasn’t just about getting from point A to point B—it was an unforgettable adventure filled with stunning coastlines, charming castles, and, of course, a little chaos along the way!

Our journey took us through Spain, France, and finally back to the UK, where we made memories, encountered surprises, and shared laughs (and rainstorms) at every turn.

Here’s a peek into what went down on this epic road trip:

1. A Nostalgic Stop in Salou

We kicked things off in Salou, Spain, a place that holds a special memory for our family. It was here that our little one first took their steps, so we couldn’t resist stopping by to relive that beautiful moment. 🌞

2. Exploring a French Hilltop Village

Next, we headed to a quaint French village perched high on a hill, complete with ancient castle ruins. The scenery was breathtaking, and the history of the place added to the magic. 🏰

3. Crossing the Millau Viaduct

One of the most thrilling moments of our journey was crossing the Millau Viaduct—Europe’s highest road bridge. This incredible feat of engineering offers jaw-dropping views of the valley below, and the drive was truly unforgettable. 🌉

4. Battling Epic Rainstorms in France

As we made our way through France, we faced some serious weather challenges. The rainstorms were relentless, but we pushed on, enjoying the beauty of the French countryside despite the downpour. 🌧️

5. French Motorhome Sites: A Game Changer

One thing we’ll never forget from this journey was the incredible motorhome facilities in France. Free motorhome sites are a common find, and we were blown away by the quality of the facilities. If only the UK took notes! 🇫🇷

6. The Ferry Crossing from Calais

Our adventure came to an end as we reached Calais, where we caught the ferry back to the UK. It was the final leg of our journey, and we couldn’t help but feel a little bittersweet. 🛳️
